This morning I took my last final for the semester, and it was beyond brutal! When I was studying last night, my interest level on the subject was a zero. I'm trying to think positive, but just thinking of the exam gives me a knot in my throat. Oh well, it's done and over with! On a brighter note, I'm pumped about my summer reading list. Even though I'm going to be super busy with traveling, moving, and wedding planning, I will definitely make time for some leisure reading. First on my agenda is to finish a few books I started during the semester. Then, I want to read the Sookie Stackhouse novels. The first book is pictured above. A year ago I read Twilight and would like to eventually finish the series but to tell you the truth, I didn't get as hyped up about it like others. Vampires are not really a interest of mine, but I've been reading the awesome reviews on this vampire series and it's caught my attention. Also, HBO's True Blood series is based on these novels.

Swap-A-DVD

For the past year, I've been exchanging movies that I own and don't watch anymore on Swap-A-DVD. This online site is so easy to use, and it's free! Being the movie fanatic that I am, I've been able to expand my movie collection with movies that I love! When you select a movie, you're put on a wait list, and once someone has submitted that particular movie, it's sent to you. I was beyond ecstatic to receive my favorite movie, Trainspotting, in the mail yesterday!
J Brand's 901 Olympia legging is my new favorite! I am so happy that I was able to find them at Anthropolgie for a really great price. Celebrities like Jessica Alba and Gwen Stefani rock them out. I seriously could wear them everyday and all day! At regular price, they are quite expensive, but I feel they're worth every penny!

This quote will never get old to me. A few years ago, I found a cute decor piece that displayed this quote and thought it was perfect. I have it hanging next to our door entrance of our studio. Whenever I feel like life can be hectic, I just stop and think of the days that life has truly taken my breath away and of the moments yet to come.

Feist is one of my favorite singers and her original verision of 1,2,3,4 is such a great song. This clip from Sesame Street is old, but I just discovered it today and think it's so adorable! I don't have kids yet but I know this is what they'll be watching someday :)

Champagne Flats

I always have a hard time finding my ideal flats. It's either not the right color, style, or comfort. Now that summer is here I really wanted to find a cute pair to wear with my skinny jeans, shorts, and dresses. I think I might have found them at Target. They're comfy and a nice neutral color so I can wear them with everything!

Tweety Bird

Oh, dear! Earrings Nation on Etsy is going to get me in trouble. I really want this adorable bird necklace! I didn't see it the other week when I ordered my owl necklace. It must be new. Since I haven't received my owl in the mail yet, I decided to restrain myself. If it's still available after I'm settled in Buffalo, I will then for sure order it.

This trailer gives me the chills. I already know it's going to be the movie of the summer! Since watching Leonardo DiCaprio's performance in The Departed, I have been a fan of him and his movies. Also, Marion Cotillard, another favorite actress of mine, is in it too! From the trailer, it looks like she plays Leo's love interest! Inception opens in theaters July 16! You can count on me being there opening night :)

University at Buffalo-The State University of New York

It's about that time in my college career to transfer to a 4 year institution. When I found out my fiance and I were moving to Buffalo, I applied to UB. Yesterday was a glorious day to say the least! I received my acceptance letter from the college. YAY for me! What a boost of confidence this has given me! Now that I'm in the school, I have a few more classes to complete before I can be accepted into a undergraduate program. Woohoo, I'm another step closer to finishing my bachelors degree!

When I'm shopping, I tend to steer towards clothes that are green, blue, or brown. You could say I love the colors of our beautiful planet, Earth. Lately, I'm crazy for clothes that are navy blue. From shorts to dresses, I want it in NAVY BLUE! The other day I found a cute wrap dress online from American Apparel, which I ordered it in navy blue :) I already know this dress is going to be a favorite. It's a basic piece that I feel everyone should have in their closet. If not in navy blue, for sure in black.

Mr. Wise Owl

I love finding anything bird or owl inspired. For the last couple months, I've been browsing the handmade jewelry on Etsy. Although I can be hesitate to make purchases online, I decided to go for it and make my first Etsy purchase yesterday. Necklaces are such a guilty pleasure of mine. That's two in the last week! Oh my! But, I couldn't pass up this cute find from Earrings Nation. The seller also has a Crafty Dream blog, which features items from around the world.

I was unaware that Leona Lewis released a new album last November. Seriously, how did I not know about this?! I feel so sheltered! Being such a fan of her first album, Spirit, I had to get Echo. I love this album just as much as the first one! Leona has proven she can without a doubt sing. Since I was a little late to hear of the CD release, I thought it would be best to become a fan of her on Facebook. Now, I hope to be up to par with everything Leona! From her current album, below is the music video, Happy. Love love this song!

Starbucks is having a frappuccino happy hour from 3-5 pm everyday until May 16. They have been doing this since the 7th of May. If you haven't had a chance to take advantage of their half-price offer, I suggest you do! Starbucks has been my best friend this semester...don't think I would have been able to survive without their delicious coffee! Now, with only 3 weeks of the semester left, I need them more than ever! Usually, I indulge in their bold pick of the day, but for the next few days I'm going to twist it up and try their new however-you-want-it Frappuccino. The Extra Coffee Caramel is sounding good right about now!

Happy Mother's Day!

Here's a picture of my beautiful mother, Delia, and I. When I look back at my childhood, I wouldn't have changed anything. Mother made life quite interesting. Love her to pieces for that! Unfortunately, I'm unable to enjoy the day with her. We live miles away from one another.

Lauren Conrad rocks! She has teamed together with m.powerment by mark. This campaign is committed to breaking the cycle of dating abuse and partner violence. The short video above is Lauren and others talking about the campaign. To support the cause, meet mark has featured a "have a heart" necklace and bracelet. The pretty necklace is pictured below. In addition, a peach and gold lip gloss are available exclusively. All the net proceeds for these featured items will go directly to the campaign. That's awesome! I wanted to support the cause, so I ordered a necklace in silver.

Leap Year was released on DVD today. As soon as class was over, I purchased a copy at Target. I saw this movie during Christmas break when it was in theaters and loved it! So, I've been kinda waiting for its release. Also, Amy Adams is one of my favorite actresses, and I always enjoy every movie she is in. And, we can't forget to acknowledge this movie is set in beautiful Ireland. My fiance and I are planning a trip to the gorgeous green land for our honeymoon in August.
