I love old photographers and especially ones of my parents. Pictured above is my beautiful momma and papa the day they were married on February 14, 1982 in the Philippines. My papa passed away 9 years ago today at the age of 80. There is not a day goes by that I don't think of him.

Grandma Haugen
On November 16, 2010 Matt's sweet grandmother passed away. She was so strong during her battle against breast cancer this past year. Matt and I were so devastated by the news. Instead of visiting our families for Christmas this year like we planned, we decided to make a trip early to our home state and be there for Grandma Haugen's funeral. Matt, away on business, caught the next flight from Louisville, Kentucky, and we drove through the night for 15 hours non stop to make it just in time for the funeral. Audrey was a very remarkable women and will be dearly missed by her family.

13 week ultrasound:
September 21, 2010 was a joyous day! It was the day Matt and I first got to see our little boy or girl. The very first moment I saw our baby on the screen and watched its tiny heart beat away I felt so happy and teary eyed. It was a wonderful feeling. Everything about our little one felt so real after that point. I'm going to be a mom!

19 week ultrasound:
Recently, we had our second ultrasound appointment. At this time we could have found out the gender of the baby, but we both decided it would be fun to not find out and have it be a surprise. This ultrasound was a lot longer than the first one and I had to lay flat for most of the time, which didn't allow me to see the baby as much as Matt did. So, after we left the doctor's office I was beyond curious to know if Matt saw anything while the technician was taking the baby's profile. He says that he didn't see anything that would identify the baby as a boy. But, he also knows that I think or want it to be a girl. I guess I'll have to wait 132 days to find out. Of course, I would be happy with either a boy or girl as long as it's healthy and so far everything is looking good!

Organize Now Challenge
One day when Matty and I were browsing through Lowe's, I found a home organization book titled "Organize Now!" by Jennifer Ford Berry, who happens to own a business in Buffalo. And, I replied in my head...yes, please! Even though I have so many organizational books on my shelf already, I said why not and bought it. I want to be organized at everything I do...maybe that's why I'm going to school for planning. Since this book is broken down as a week-by-week guide, I thought it would be neat to blog a weekly update on my progress. I'm looking at it as a organizational challenge for myself.

Mark Wahlberg. Amy Adams. Boston. This is all I need to know to convince me that this movie is going to be great!

Last week a cute flier from Aerie arrived in my mailbox. I was smitten with everything advertised, so I decided to make my way to the mall and check it all out. I left the store with an adorable flower tank that is perfect for my ever growing belly and a natural-spun mohair sweater. I'm hoping Aerie will have some great sales on Black Friday, so I don't feel so guilty buying everything on my wish list. Below are two complete outfits I wouldn't mind adding to my wardrobe. They both look like nice and comfy which is exactly what I need.
